Playing Tips

Although fairways are generally wide, the course design places bunkers and water hazards strategically so prioritize accuracy over pure distance off the tee.

The 4th (short) and the 10th (mid-length with a central bunker) are standout holes—play conservatively into the green and avoid the central bunker on No.10 when laying up or attacking.

Bentgrass greens have subtle contours and can be picky about speed and line, so take extra time reading putts and focus on controlling your pace.

Expect elevation changes and shifty winds on this hilly layout; adjust club selection for uphill or downhill approaches and be wary of gusts on exposed tees and ridges.

Local Weather Patterns

The hilly, inland Chichibu location produces cooler temperatures than central Tokyo, with clear springs and colorful autumns, humid and hot summers, occasional morning fog, and cold winters with frost or light snow that can affect course conditions.

Best Season to Play

Late spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) are the best times to play when temperatures are comfortable and the course scenery is at its peak; avoid midsummer heat and midwinter frost or light snow.

Dress Code

During play, wearing attire not sold as golf (sports) wear, such as T-shirts or jeans, is prohibited. Additionally, to prevent accidents and heatstroke, wearing a hat is recommended during play.
