Ryuo Golf Course is an 18-hole layout located in eastern Lake Biwa, offering scenic views of the Suzuka mountain range and a peaceful setting on the southern Koto Plain. The course features a varied design with several strategically placed ponds, making for an engaging round. Conveniently just a few minutes from the Meishin Expressway Ryuo Interchange, it is easy to access. Playing Tips

Several holes feature strategically placed ponds, so prioritize accuracy over distance on tee shots to avoid penalty strokes.

Because the course is hilly, club selection must account for uphill and downhill lies—take one club more for uphill approaches and one less for downhill shots.

Greens are a mix of Bentgrass and Zoysia, so expect faster, firmer putting on Bentgrass surfaces and slower breaks on Zoysia; carefully read subtle undulations.

Carts are GPS-equipped which helps with yardages and pacing, but there is no shop on-site so bring spare balls, tees, and cash for vending machines.

Summers are hot and humid with occasional lake breezes and typhoons in late summer, while winters are cool with occasional light snow; wind from Lake Biwa can be variable and affect exposed holes.

Best Season to Play

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures and stable weather for playing, avoiding summer heat and typhoon season and winter cold.
