Wide, American-style fairways reward big hitters, but the overall length means distance off the tee remains important.

Although the terrain is relatively flat, subtle undulations around the greens make approach-shot placement and spin control critical.

Breezes across the plain can affect long irons and drives, so check wind direction on longer holes and club up or down accordingly.

Bentgrass greens tend to be true and can run moderately fast, so take time to read breaks and judge speed carefully.

Play conservatively on risk-reward par 5s where reaching in two invites trouble, and use a rangefinder to target landing areas.
