Omote Zao International Golf Club is a charming 27-hole course set on a spacious, hilly landscape in Miyagi Prefecture. The course is divided into three distinct nines: the East Course offers dramatic elevation changes and plenty of room to drive, featuring straightforward greens; the West Course presents a tricky challenge with water hazards and valleys; while the South Course provides a balanced middle ground. Located within 15 km of Murata IC on the Tohoku Expressway, the club also offers a large competition room for up to 100 people and a 260-yard driving range with 15 bays, making it a well-equipped venue for golfers of all levels.

The West Course demands accuracy because ponds and valley carries penalize stray tee shots, so favor position over sheer distance off the tee.

The South Course is a balanced test where controlled tee shots and precise approaches create the best birdie chances.

Greens are a mix of bentgrass and zoysia—expect faster speeds on bent areas and slower roll on zoysia, so adjust your putting pace accordingly.

Use the 260‑yard driving range to dial in trajectories and club selection for uphill and downhill shots before your round.
