About This Course

Okabe Chisan Country Club, operated by PGM, offers a captivating 36-hole golf experience in Saitama Prefecture. The course features two distinct layouts: the Okabe Course, known for its downhill shots, valley and water crossings, and varied terrain that challenges shot-making skills; and the Misato Course, characterized by gentle slopes and longer, more demanding holes that test driving distance. Recent renovations include a spacious, modernized men's bath and a relaxing outdoor hot spring. Since 2020, cart navigation systems have been installed on both courses to enhance convenience and enjoyment. The club is easily accessible via the newly opened Yorii Smart Interchange.

Playing Tips

1
Okabe Course demands accurate tee shots and mid‑iron approaches to carry valleys and water, so prioritize placement over pure distance.
2
Misato Course features longer, gently sloping holes where driving distance and the correct club for uphill lies are often decisive.
3
Expect two green types—Zoysia and Bentgrass—so allow for slower, grain-influenced reads on Zoysia and faster, truer rolls on Bentgrass.
4
The hilly terrain creates uneven lies and some blind shots, so use conservative club selection and rely on the 2020-installed cart navigation to plan yardages.
5
In wet conditions fairways and slopes can become slippery, so favor controlled swings and position play to avoid the course’s valleys and ponds.
