About This Course

Noto Golf Club, located in Ishikawa Prefecture, is a forest-style 18-hole course known for its bentgrass greens. Following the impact of the Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula earthquake, the club resumed operations on September 1 with half-play (9 holes) as the standard. Full 18-hole rounds involve playing the inner course twice. From April 2025, the OUT course will reopen, with a temporary green on hole 5. Facilities include newly added shower rooms and temporary restrooms, although the clubhouse remains closed. Players handle their own bags from vehicles, with staff assisting on the carts. Prepayment is required, with card and QR payment options available.

Playing Tips

1
The forest-style, tree-lined layout rewards accuracy off the tee—favor placement over pure distance to avoid penal rough and blocked angles.
2
At 6,745 yards the course plays long for a par 72, so long hitters can gain advantage but well-placed layups on long par 4s often return better scores.
3
Bentgrass greens are generally receptive but can run firm and show subtle breaks, so dial in approach distances and be cautious with putt speed.
4
Operations are still affected by the earthquake recovery (temporary greens and half-play in effect), so check which greens/holes are in use and allow for firmer or uneven temporary surfaces when selecting clubs.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
The Noto Peninsula has a Sea of Japan climate with cold, snowy winters and strong winds in winter and spring, while summers are warm and humid with occasional sudden rain, so expect seasonal variability in wind and precipitation.
Best Season to Play
Late spring through early autumn (roughly May–October) when the course is open and weather is milder; avoid winter months because heavy snow can close holes and facilities are limited.
