Playing Tips

1
At over 7,000 yards and with a hilly, championship layout, controlled distance and accuracy off the tee are more important than pure length—favor fairway finders over heroic bombs.
2
Tree‑lined, relatively narrow fairways make course management crucial, so choose clubs to keep the ball in play and be prepared to lay up on long par 4s and 5s rather than chase distance.
3
Greens are korai/zoysia and generally hold well but can be firm and feature subtle breaks, so try to leave approach shots below the hole and focus on speed control when putting.
4
Local wind from nearby Ariake Bay and elevation changes can alter club selection dramatically, so check wind direction from elevated tees and be ready to add or subtract clubs accordingly.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Isahaya/Nagasaki has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers, mild winters, a pronounced rainy season in June–July, and occasional typhoons in late summer to early autumn that can bring strong winds and heavy rain.
Best Season to Play
Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most pleasant and stable conditions for golf, with milder temperatures and lower likelihood of heavy rain or typhoons.
