Playing Tips

1
The course is relatively short so prioritize accuracy over distance—tight tee shots and well-placed approaches will pay off more than bombing drives.
2
Expect elevation changes on many holes so adjust club selection for uphill and downhill shots and play conservatively to avoid running through narrow landing areas.
3
Greens are Zoysia (Koma), which tend to be firmer and slower than bentgrass, so focus on landing approaches on the correct tier and trust bump-and-run shots when appropriate.
4
Being alongside the Nagara River, some holes can be breezy; check wind direction on elevated tees and add or subtract club accordingly, especially on exposed par 3s.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Gifu has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers, a rainy season in early summer, and generally mild winters with occasional cold snaps; breezes from the Nagara River can affect exposed holes and typhoons sometimes bring heavy rain in late summer/early autumn.
Best Season to Play
Late spring and autumn are the best times to play — mild temperatures, stable weather and clear skies make for comfortable rounds; avoid the rainy season in June and the hottest, most humid weeks of midsummer.
