On the back nine the elevation changes require careful club selection—expect uphill holes to play longer and downhill holes to play shorter.

Practice and commit to shots from sloped lies because accuracy and balance from uneven stances are essential for good scores here.

Greens are a mix of bentgrass and zoysia, so expect firmer, faster rolls on zoysia patches and subtle breaks on the bentgrass surfaces; take extra time to read putts.

Elevated tees and greens can catch afternoon breezes from the Okutama direction, so account for wind on longer tee shots and approach plays.
