Playing Tips

1
At nearly 6,900 yards and a par-72 layout, the course rewards distance but even more so accurate long-iron and hybrid play into greens.
2
Greens alternate between Zoysia (Koma) and Bentgrass so expect grain and slower speeds on Zoysia surfaces and faster, truer rolls on Bentgrass—adjust pace and reads accordingly.
3
The course sits on the Kanto plain and can be exposed to steady breezes, so check wind direction carefully on the tee and club up or down on approach shots.
4
With no strict shoe rules and a traditional layout, favor conservative tee placement and position play to avoid big numbers rather than gambling for extra distance.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
The Kanto plain around Joso is characterized by humid summers with frequent afternoon thunderstorms, mild and occasionally windy springs, a higher typhoon risk in late summer to early autumn, and cool winters with occasional frost that can slow greens.
Best Season to Play
Late spring (April–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures and the most stable playing conditions; summers are hot and humid and early autumn can bring typhoons while winters are colder with occasional frost and slower greens.
