The front nine is generally uphill through a natural valley so prioritize position and controlled tee shots over pure distance.

Multiple water hazards and deep bunkers require accurate approach shots, so lay up when hazards come into play rather than forcing long carries.

Doglegs and elevation changes make club selection critical—adjust one or two clubs for significant uphill or downhill shots.
