Playing Tips

1
Each of the three nines has its own character—play conservatively among the trees on the Kobushi, be aware of visual distractions on the Tsutsuji, and prioritize placement around ponds and marshes on the Kusunoki.
2
The course is hilly so expect elevation changes and adjust club selection for uphill and downhill shots rather than just hitting for maximum distance.
3
Greens alternate between zoysia and bentgrass, so check green type and test speed on the first putt because zoysia holds approach shots while bentgrass tends to be faster and truer.
4
Afternoon sea breezes and coastal winds can affect long tee shots, so watch flag direction and add or reduce club accordingly into headwinds or tailwinds.
5
At over 10,000 yards across 27 holes, manage your energy and play safe tee shots when necessary to avoid big numbers on the longer holes.
