Playing Tips

Be cautious off the tee on the East Course where scattered birch trees can subtly affect shot shapes and punish errant drives.

Watch for changing wind conditions typical of Hokkaido and check flag direction on every hole before committing to a club.

On the 11th hole, favour placement over distance to avoid the three ponds running along the fairway.

Prepare for the valley carry on the 17th by selecting a club that provides a comfortable margin to clear the hollow.

Greens are bentgrass and generally true, so focus on firm, well-placed approaches and read subtle breaks carefully.
