Playing Tips

1
With ponds guarding almost every hole, favor conservative tee shots and aim for the safest fairway corridors to avoid penalty strokes.
2
Because the course is very flat and surrounded by rice fields, wind across the open terrain can be stronger than it looks, so check wind direction and adjust club selection accordingly.
3
Approach shots often require precision—lay up rather than attacking the pin when water protects the front of the green.
4
Expect different putting characteristics from the two green types: bentgrass areas will generally be firmer and faster while zoysia (Kōnosu's other green) will roll slower and can be bouncier, so read the surface carefully.
5
Soft spikes are mandatory and the course’s moderate length rewards accurate iron play and strong short-game strategy over pure driving distance.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Kōnosu sits on the Kanto plain with a humid temperate climate: a rainy season in June–July, hot and humid summers with occasional thunderstorms, mild dry winters, and exposed flat terrain that can produce noticeable crosswinds in spring and autumn as well as sporadic typhoon influence in late summer.
Best Season to Play
Late spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) are the best times to play, avoiding the June rainy season, midsummer heat, and late-summer typhoon risk.
