About This Course

Kimitsu Kamokibara Country Club is a scenic 18-hole course located in warm, mild southern Boso, Chiba Prefecture. Designed and supervised by legendary golfer Ryuukichi Miyamoto, this course is known for its flat and straightforward layout with strategically placed ponds and creeks that add both challenge and interest. Suitable for players of all levels, it offers an enjoyable and satisfying round amid beautiful surroundings. From December 2023, the club introduced the latest cart navigation system to enhance the playing experience. Soft spikes are required, and the course features bentgrass and zoysia greens.

The overall flat layout rewards accurate tee placement over pure distance to leave comfortable approach shots.

Ponds and creeks are strategically placed on many holes, so play conservatively off the tee and favour layups when lines are blocked.

Mixed bentgrass and zoysia greens demand careful reads because bent sections can run quicker while zoysia areas are firmer and slower.

Afternoon sea breezes from the Boso area can change club selection quickly, so check wind direction before every shot.

Make use of the new cart navigation system to confirm yardages and safer lines around hazards to speed up decision making.
