Because the layout is mostly flat and there is no out-of-bounds on the right, you can be aggressive off the tee but must still respect left-side water and valley hazards.

Several holes exceed 500 yards, so plan tee shots and second shots carefully—know when to lay up on long par-5s rather than reaching and risking hazards.

Bentgrass greens reward precise distance control, so focus on hitting approaches to the correct level and managing putt speed rather than attacking pins blindly.

Wind from the coast can be a factor on exposed holes, so check direction and strength on the tee and adjust club selection and aim accordingly.
