About This Course

Katsuta Golf Club, located near the Pacific Ocean in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, offers a flat, forested 18-hole course suitable for players of all levels. Managed by PGM, the course features upgraded cart paths and GPS-equipped carts to ensure a comfortable playing experience. It is the first in Japan to adopt the high-quality "Crenshaw Bentgrass" greens, named after renowned golfer Ben Crenshaw, providing excellent putting conditions year-round. Playing Tips

The course is generally flat and tree‑lined, so prioritize accuracy off the tee to keep approach shots from being blocked by trees.

The Crenshaw Bentgrass greens are smooth and receptive but can play quicker and truer than many regional greens, so allow extra attention to pace and subtle breaks on your putts.

Several holes are exposed to coastal sea breezes from the nearby Pacific, so factor crosswinds and occasional gusts into your club selection, especially on longer irons and par‑3s.

At about 6,870 yards and par 72 the course is on the longer side, so longer hitters should balance distance with positioning and avoid unnecessary risks on narrow landing areas.
