Playing Tips

1
Although fairways are generally wide, several holes are long and demanding, so prioritize accuracy off the tee over trying to overpower the course.
2
The front nine is relatively flat with views toward the Chugoku Mountains and rewards conservative approach shots, while the back nine features more elevation changes that require careful club selection for uphill and downhill shots.
3
Exposed holes toward the Seto Inland Sea can be affected by coastal wind; check wind direction and strength on the tee and adjust aim and club choice accordingly.
4
Greens are bentgrass and can run medium to quick depending on maintenance, so focus on hitting the proper side of the hole and avoid long, difficult downhill putts when possible.
5
Remember the course requires soft spikes and reservations through Rakuten GORA, so come prepared with appropriate footwear and your confirmed booking.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
The Kasaoka area has a Seto Inland Sea climate with relatively mild winters, hot and humid summers with frequent sea breezes, and a lower overall rainfall than Japan's Sea of Japan side; be aware of occasional strong coastal winds and typhoon risk in late summer.
Best Season to Play
Best played in spring (April–May) or autumn (October–November) when temperatures are mild, visibility is good, and the course is at its most pleasant; avoid peak summer heat and the typhoon-prone late summer.
