Playing Tips

1
At over 7,000 yards the course plays long so bring extra club length and favour distance off the tee on the longer par 4s and par 5s.
2
Fairways are relatively wide which rewards aggressive tee shots, but accuracy into greens is important because tournament-conditioned rough and pin positions can be penal.
3
Expect lake-influenced winds to alter ball flight on exposed holes, so keep shots lower and factor wind into club selection.
4
Bentgrass greens are maintained to tournament standards and can be quick and true, so test the speed on your first putt and leave yourself below the hole when possible.
5
Soft spikes are recommended and the course can play firmer in dry spells and more receptive after rain, so adjust approach shots accordingly.
