About This Course

Kansai Golf Club features a scenic 18-hole forest course with minimal elevation changes and ten ponds that add visual interest and strategic challenges. Water hazards come into play on eight holes, including key short holes on the front nine that require carrying over water. The back nine features several holes bordered by ponds, making accuracy essential. Long hitters can enjoy two long, straight holes that encourage powerful drives, while certain short holes present challenging distances and hazards like bunkers and water, making scoring a test of precision. Located in Hyogo Prefecture, the course offers a peaceful setting with bentgrass greens and soft spike-only shoes required.

Playing Tips

1
Many holes are guarded by ponds so prioritize placement off the tee and play conservatively on the water-carrying short holes such as the front 4th and 8th to avoid big numbers.
2
Use distance on the long, straight 7th and 13th to gain an advantage, but position your drive for a clear approach rather than simply trying to hit longest tee shots.
3
Bentgrass greens are generally true and receptive, so attack the correct side of the pin but be careful of subtle breaks when putting.
4
The course is largely flat and tree-lined which shelters many holes from heavy wind, however exposed holes beside ponds can still be influenced by gusts so account for crosswind on approaches.
