Playing Tips

Make use of the generally wide fairways and let the driver go on reachable tee shots, but plan your second shot carefully on the long holes to avoid big numbers.

On hilly holes pay attention to elevation changes and adjust club selection—club up for uphill approaches and club down for downhill lies to avoid coming up short or overshooting.

The memorable pond-crossing short hole demands precise club choice and wind assessment, so be conservative when the wind is gusty rather than trying to hero it over the water.

Greens are bentgrass with moderate speed and subtle breaks, so read the slopes carefully and take conservative lines when below the hole to avoid three-putts.

Soft spikes only are required, so wear appropriate shoes, and take advantage of seasonal services (complimentary drinks in July/August and ice cream in August) to stay refreshed during hot rounds.
