Many holes run through red pine woodland so accuracy off the tee is more important than raw distance on most layouts.

Wind from the Sea of Japan can change club selection significantly on exposed holes so check direction and strength before each tee shot.

The course uses a bentgrass green that is very well maintained and can play firm and fast, so aim for the center of the green when pin positions are aggressive.

With a 27‑hole, championship routing and tournament history, prioritize smart course management and conservative lines on risk‑reward holes.

Bunkers and tree‑lined corridors punish errant shots, so favor placement and short‑game approaches to save strokes.
