About This Course

Hitachi no Kuni Kenrakuen is a charming 9-hole hill course located in Hitachiomiya, Ibaraki. Designed to preserve about 70% of its natural greenery, it features two greens and two tees, offering a full-round experience despite its size. The course is mostly flat but includes strategic elements like valleys, with notable holes such as the 13th, where the second shot crosses a valley. Golfers can practice their short game at the dedicated approach area before or after play. After your round, relax and unwind at the on-site Azalea Hot Spring, a perfect way to soothe tired muscles.

Playing Tips

1
Although it is a 9‑hole course, the two greens and two tees make it play like a full round, so plan club selection as if playing 18 holes.
2
Be mindful of valley carries—notably the hole described like the 13th requires a precise second shot over a valley, so favour controlled clubbing over power.
3
Greens are bentgrass and generally receptive, so prioritize hitting the correct putting surface and be alert for subtle breaks.
4
The layout is mostly flat but strategically places valleys and tree lines, so accuracy from the tee and solid short‑game shots will save strokes more than pure distance.
