Playing Tips

The course rewards accuracy rather than raw distance because numerous ponds and bunkers come into play, so favor conservative tee shots to stay in play.

Many greens are protected by water and bunkers, so aim for the safe portion of the green and consider laying up when the direct line is guarded by hazards.

Although the terrain is mostly flat, the mounding and contours around fairways and greens influence ball runoff, so plan approach shots to hold the green and leave manageable putts.

Bentgrass greens generally run true and can be quick in peak season, so test putt speed early and be cautious with downhill putts.

Winds are usually light in the morning but can pick up in open sections by midday, so monitor conditions and be prepared to club up on windy holes.
