About This Course

GDO Chigasaki Golf Links is a nine-hole, par-36 public course on the coast of Chigasaki, with open seaside surroundings, refreshing ocean breezes, and views of Mount Fuji across the landscape. Formerly known as Chigasaki Golf Club, the course retains elements of its original design by Osamu Ueda while offering a relaxed and accessible style of play. Golfers can choose from a standard nine-hole round, two consecutive loops for an 18-hole round, or unlimited play, depending on their schedule and preference. The course operates with self-play and has no formal dress code, and same-day reservations are available. Its coastal setting and flexible format make it suitable for a quick round as well as a more leisurely day of golf.

Playing Tips

1
Treat the coastal wind as a constant strategic factor and check its direction before choosing a club.
2
Favor controlled shots and solid contact over trying to overpower the relatively short layout.
3
When playing 18 holes, reassess the wind on the second loop because its strength and direction may change.
4
Use conservative targets when the breeze is strong, since a small misjudgment can move the ball significantly near the coast.
5
Take time to enjoy the Mount Fuji views, but stay focused on alignment and distance control around the greens.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
The course is exposed to coastal weather, so ocean breezes can influence club selection and ball flight, while summer is often hot and humid and winter may feel chilly when northwesterly winds strengthen.
Best Season to Play
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, with mild temperatures and generally pleasant conditions for enjoying the coastal setting; winter can also be clear and scenic but may bring stronger winds.
