Playing Tips

Accuracy off the tee is important on the hilly layout, so prioritize placement over distance to avoid sloping fairways and uneven lies.

Bentgrass greens are well maintained and can be firm and true, so focus on pace control and carefully read subtle breaks.

Account for elevation changes on approach shots by adding a club for uphill shots and subtracting one for downhill shots.

Wind can be shifty on exposed ridgelines—check direction at the tee and play a lower trajectory when wind is gusty.

Use the extensive practice facilities and bunker area to warm up, and note that the course requires soft spikes only.

Kansai has hot, humid summers with a rainy season in June and occasional typhoons in late summer, while winters are mild and springs and autumns are generally stable and comfortable for golf.

Best Season to Play

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most pleasant temperatures and stable conditions for golf.
