Playing Tips

Although the fairways are generally wide, large ponds and bunkers are placed to punish poor carry and layup choices, so prioritize accurate tee shots over distance.

On the 14th hole you must decide between the safer left fairway with a tricky short-to-medium second shot or the riskier right fairway that rewards long, accurate drives with a clearer approach.

The course is hilly, so pay attention to elevation changes and adjust club selection—take one more club for uphill shots and one less for downhill shots when in doubt.

Wind off the Sea of Japan can affect ball flight—winds are often stronger in the morning and in winter, so check direction before choosing a target and consider lower trajectories when it's breezy.

The single bentgrass greens are generally true and can be brisk when well maintained, so be precise with approach distances and focus on controlling putt speed.
