Playing Tips

The course has moderate elevation changes, so adjust club selection for uphill and downhill approach shots and rely on the cart GPS for precise yardages.

Greens are bentgrass and strategically contoured, so take time to read breaks carefully and expect relatively fast, true putting surfaces.

Accuracy off the tee is rewarded on the mountain layout, as tighter landing areas and slopes can heavily penalize big misses.

Elevated holes can be breezier than valley holes, so factor wind into club choice and consider playing more conservatively when gusts pick up.

At about 400 m elevation in the Kansai region, mornings can be cooler with occasional fog or low clouds, summers are humid and hot, the June rainy season brings frequent rain, autumn and spring are generally stable and breezy on exposed ridges.

Best Season to Play

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most pleasant temperatures, clear views of Kyoto, and stable conditions, while the rainy season (June) and midsummer are less comfortable.

Please wear a jacket or blazer when visiting (wearing them is optional from June to September). Entry and exit are prohibited if wearing slippers, sandals, jeans, or cargo-type pants.
