Surrounded by birch forests and rolling fairways, the course features strategically placed water hazards and bunkers, offering an engaging and beautiful challenge reminiscent of Scottish links-style golf. A large pond spanning the final hole adds to the course’s distinctive character. Located just minutes from Eniwa IC and within easy reach of Sapporo and New Chitose Airport, Zuien Country Club provides a memorable golfing experience with modern electric carts equipped with GPS navigation. While many fairways are broad, tree-lined routes and well-placed bunkers reward accuracy off the tee—prioritize position over pure distance.

Approach shots should focus on distance control because the bentgrass greens are receptive but can have subtle undulations.

Take special care on the finishing hole where a large pond comes into play and can penalize overly aggressive approaches.

Factor wind into club selection on exposed holes, as Hokkaido breezes can significantly alter ball flight, especially on long par 4s and par 5s.

Use the on-cart GPS to identify hazard locations and plan conservative routes around water and bunkers to avoid big numbers.
