Account for elevation changes—club up on long uphill approaches and club down on downhill shots to avoid misjudged distances.

Adjust approach and putting speed depending on the green type because bentgrass holes typically run smoother and faster while zoysia (korai) holes tend to be firmer and slower.

The hilly, tree-lined layout favors accuracy off the tee over pure distance, so prioritize placement to secure better angles into greens.

Wind can be variable on exposed ridges between the Abukuma and Nasu ranges, so check conditions from elevated tees and alter trajectory and club choice accordingly.
