Yabe Samba Valley Country Club is a scenic 18-hole course set on a highland plateau about 450 meters above sea level in Kumamoto Prefecture. The course’s hilly layout and natural undulations reward accurate tee shots over sheer distance, so prioritize position and course management off the tee.

Account for elevation changes on many holes—uphill shots will play longer and downhill shots shorter, so adjust club selection accordingly.

Bentgrass greens tend to be relatively true and can run quick, so focus on distance control and leave approach shots below the hole when possible.

The plateau setting can produce variable wind, so check conditions at the first tee and club down or up as needed to handle gusts and crosswinds.
