The fairways are relatively wide but the course contains many ponds and lakes, so conservative tee shots that prioritize avoiding water will often yield the best scores.

Wind from the reservoir can be variable and gusty on exposed holes, so check wind direction at each tee and adjust club selection accordingly.

Use the riding cart to plan angles carefully around doglegs and water hazards, aiming to leave straightforward approach shots rather than heroic carries over water.

Many greens are guarded by water or fringe hazards, so favor hitting the center of the green and choose clubs that allow the ball to carry and hold the surface.

Greens are a mix of bentgrass and zoysia, meaning you can expect faster roll on bent areas especially in cooler months and slower, more receptive surfaces on zoysia in summer.
