Washigatake Kogen Golf Club is a scenic 18-hole course located in Gujo, Gifu Prefecture, offering stunning views of the Hakusan mountain range. Designed by Manji Kurosawa and opened in 1970, the course features wide, relatively flat fairways on the front nine, allowing for powerful tee shots, while the back nine challenges players with strategic dogleg and river-crossing holes. Situated in a highland resort area, it is easily accessible by car from Nagoya and Hokuriku. The course is closed during winter months due to snow but is well maintained for comfortable play in other seasons. Self-play with four-person carts is standard, and nearby lodging makes early tee times convenient.

Take advantage of the wide, relatively flat front nine by being aggressive off the tee to set up shorter approach shots.

Play the back nine strategically because doglegs and river‑crossing holes reward good tee placement more than raw distance.

Greens are bentgrass and tend to be true with subtle undulations, so prioritize accurate approaches and careful reads to save pars.
