Take lower-lofted clubs on downhill tee shots—the signature “sky shot” has a dramatic drop that will add distance to your shots.

Play for position rather than pure yardage on the strategic holes where placement into the correct side of the fairway opens up easier approaches.

Be mindful of gusty mountain winds that can change direction and strength between holes and alter club selection noticeably.

Study the greens carefully as bentgrass surfaces have firm, undulating breaks that reward precise approach shots and good lag putting.
