Usuki Country Club is a scenic 18-hole course located in Oita Prefecture, managed by Mitsui Fudosan and the only one of its kind in Kyushu under their operation. The course features gentle terrain with no blind shots, making it easy to find your targets. The front nine offers open, longer holes carved through rolling hills, while the back nine is surrounded by dense trees and natural landscapes, requiring thoughtful and strategic play. Notable for its elevated tee boxes and downhill shots, Usuki provides an enjoyable yet challenging experience for golfers of all levels. Soft spikes are required.

You can practice at this course! Take advantage of the practice range to warm up before your round or work on your skills.

Take advantage of the longer, open front nine by using the driver to reach greens in position, but keep tee shots in play on rolling fairways.

On the tree-lined back nine prioritize accuracy and layup strategy because tight landing zones and blocked approaches punish wayward shots.

Many tees are elevated with downhill shots, so club down where appropriate and account for wind which can amplify distance on those holes.

Greens are a mix of Bermudagrass and Bentgrass so expect seasonal speed and grain variations and spend extra time reading subtle breaks.

There are virtually no blind shots and overall good visibility, so be willing to attack pins when you have a clear line but avoid unnecessary risk on forced carries.
