Pay attention to uneven lies on the rolling fairways and adjust your stance and weight distribution to avoid miscues on sloped lies.

The 1st is a long, scenic opening hole—choose a tee strategy that sets up a comfortable approach rather than forcing distance off the tee.

The 10th is a valley-crossing hole where a conservative layup or a controlled low-trajectory shot is often the smart play to avoid trouble.

Bentgrass greens tend to be true—study subtle breaks carefully and be prepared for variable speeds depending on weather and maintenance.

Because the course sits at about 400 m, wind can be a factor on exposed tees and ridges, so check direction and club up or down accordingly.

Late spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most pleasant weather and the clearest views of the Aso mountains, while the rainy season and peak typhoon months are best avoided.
