Tree‑lined fairways demand accuracy off the tee, so favor a controlled tee shot to find the fairway rather than always trying to overpower it.

Ponds and creeks come into play on several holes—lay up short of water when in doubt and choose safe angles into greens.

Greens are bentgrass and can be firm and quick in dry conditions, so take extra care reading subtle breaks and controlling approach speed.

Some holes around the foothills feature modest elevation changes, so adjust club selection for uphill or downhill shots and use cart yardage to help judge distances.

Wind off Mount Fuji can be changeable, often strengthening in the afternoon, so check conditions on every tee and consider a lower ball flight when it’s breezy.

At the foot of Mount Fuji near Gotemba, mornings tend to be cool with possible fog or low clouds, conditions can change quickly with afternoon breezes that often strengthen, and winter brings colder temperatures and occasional frost.

Late spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures and the clearest views of Mount Fuji, while winters can be cold with possible frost.
