The hilly, tree-lined layout rewards accurate tee shots and course management over sheer distance, so prioritize position over power off the tee.

Expect frequent elevation changes—club up for uphill approaches and club down on long downhill shots to dial in yardage.

The course has two bentgrass greens that can be true and fast, so pay attention to green contours and favor landing below the hole for easier uphill putts.

Because the course sits at high elevation winds can be surprisingly variable and stronger in the afternoon, so check wind direction and strength before every shot.

At about 1,000 meters elevation the course is noticeably cooler than the lowlands (typically 8–12°C lower), with frequent morning mist or fog, generally breezy afternoons, comfortable summers, and cold winters with possible frost or light snow.

Late spring through autumn (roughly May–October) is the best time to play, offering cool, comfortable conditions in summer and excellent autumn colors and clear views of Mount Fuji, while winter can be cold with frost or occasional snow.

During play, please refrain from wearing clothing not sold as golf (sports) wear, such as T-shirts or jeans. Please wear golf shoes with soft spikes or spikeless soles during play. For safety and heatstroke prevention, wearing a hat is recommended during play.
