Account for elevation changes on many holes—choose one club more for significant uphill shots and reduce club for long downhill plays.

Bentgrass greens tend to be relatively quick and subtly undulating, so be conservative with speed on long putts and take care reading breaks.

Exposed ridge holes overlooking Lake Biwa can be affected by crosswinds or gusts, so check flags frequently and adjust club selection accordingly.

Since walking is standard and some holes are steep, use the monorail or ride-on carts when needed to save energy and maintain focus late in the round.
