The back nine is more hilly with notable elevation changes, so adjust club selection for uphill and downhill approaches.

Several holes contain ponds and Japan’s only color sand bunkers, so prioritize position off the tee to avoid hazardous angles into greens.

Wind from Ise Bay can be variable and create strong crosswinds on exposed or elevated holes, so always factor wind into club choice and aim.

Greens are korai/zoysia with noticeable grain and generally firm surfaces, so read putts carefully and expect moderate-to-slower speeds.
