Muroran Golf Club, located in Hokkaido, is a renowned 18-hole hilly course designed by famed architect Seiichi Inoue. Known for its beautiful yet challenging layout featuring steep, elevated greens and strategic tree-lined fairways, the course offers a rewarding experience for golfers of various levels. Opened in 1965 and nicknamed the "Swan Course," it has hosted major tournaments including the Japan Women's Open. Conveniently accessible by car and public transport, the club combines excellent golfing with proximity to popular sightseeing spots. Since 2021, exclusive glamping accommodations within the course provide a unique luxury stay with fine French BBQ and a tranquil natural setting.

The hilly, tree-lined layout rewards positional tee shots—favor accuracy over pure distance to find safer angles into the fairways.

Many greens are elevated and sloping, so plan approaches with extra club for carry and aim for the correct landing areas to avoid long downhill putts.

Coastal winds can be gusty and variable, so check wind direction from each tee and adjust club selection and shot shape accordingly.

Bentgrass greens hold approach shots well but show subtle breaks, so read the slopes carefully and commit to your line on putts.
