The famous OUT No.8 island green demands a precise club selection and calm nerves, as missing the green often results in a penalty or difficult recovery.

Account for elevation changes on approach shots—many greens sit above or below the tees, so take an extra club for uphill and reduce one for long downhill shots.

Bentgrass greens here tend to be fast and can be quite undulating, so prioritize lag putting to avoid three-putts and read subtle breaks carefully.

Wind can be variable and gusty in the valleys and ridges—check conditions from the tee and adjust trajectory and club selection accordingly.
