The course uses gently rolling terrain so aim for good tee position to leave straightforward approach angles into the greens.

Fairways and rough are planted with bluegrass so the ball tends to sit up—take advantage with more controlled iron play rather than always hitting driver.

Greens are fast Bentgrass surfaces so focus on controlling approach spin and spend extra time reading putts to avoid three-putts.

Being near Lake Abashiri means holes can be exposed to steady breezes, so always check wind direction and consider club-up/down on exposed shots.
