As a mountainous layout with frequent elevation changes, adjust club selection—expect uphill holes to play longer and downhill holes to play shorter.

Many holes are tree-lined and demand accuracy off the tee, so prioritize controlled, well-placed drives over aggressive distance attempts.

Bentgrass greens hold approach shots well but can feature subtle breaks, so pay close attention to pin positions and read putts carefully.

Exposed tees and ridge lines can become windy, especially in the afternoon, so account for crosswinds on longer clubs.

Soft spikes are required and the course offers a limited shuttle from Shin-Kanuma by reservation, so prepare footwear and transport arrangements in advance.
