Favor accuracy over distance off the tee because tree-lined fairways and strategic hazards reward well-placed tee shots.

Treat the signature island green and other water-protected greens conservatively—lay up if the wind or pin position makes the carry risky.

Bentgrass greens can play firm and hold delicate breaks, so read the slopes carefully and aim for the correct side of the hole.

Watch for large rock features and surrounding rough that can create awkward stances and block preferred lines, so plan approaches to leave easy recovery shots.

Although many holes are relatively flat and open, expect variable crosswinds near ridgelines and adjust club selection and trajectory accordingly.
