Fairways are lined with mature red pines so accuracy off the tee is more important than pure distance.

The 27-hole layout and total yardage mean the equivalent 18 will play long, so plan club selection and carry distances carefully.

Greens are bentgrass and can play firm in summer, so approach shots should target the correct side of the pin to leave manageable putts.

The terrain is generally gentle and relatively flat, so position play and course management are rewarded more than relying on elevation changes.

Check wind conditions coming off the foothills before each round as gusts can funnel through certain holes and change club choice.
