On the front nine pick moments to use the driver because the wide fairways and numerous doglegs reward well-placed long tee shots.

On the back nine focus on precise club selection and wind reading because the varied layouts demand accuracy into the greens.

Large bentgrass greens allow aggressive approach shots but be wary of subtle tiers and long putts across broad landing areas.

Adjust for elevation changes, especially the gentle downhill holes on the front nine where shots will often play longer than the carded yardage.

Monitor sea breezes from the Kii Channel throughout the round and re-evaluate wind and club choice at every tee.
