Nine ponds and strategically placed rocks make accuracy off the tee critical, so favor position over distance to avoid water and difficult recovery shots.

Several holes offer ocean exposure so expect and plan for coastal winds that can significantly alter ball flight on the eight view holes.

Bentgrass greens are well maintained and generally true, but subtle breaks and slopes demand careful reads and conservative speed control on approaches.

The hilly, undulating terrain produces frequent elevation changes and some blind shots, so adjust club selection for up- and down-hill lies and choose conservative target lines when unsure.
