Account for elevation—take one club more for uphill approaches and one club less for long downhill shots due to significant height changes.

Although fairways are relatively wide, strong undulations can leave difficult lies so prioritize accurate tee shots over sheer distance.

Several holes are lengthy, so a controlled tee shot to the wider landing areas often yields better scores than attempting to overpower the hole.

Bentgrass greens hold approaches well but display subtle breaks and moderate speeds, so play conservative lag putts when unsure.

Ridge- and valley-exposed holes can be quite windy, so always check and factor wind direction into club selection on long shots.
