Fairways are relatively wide and gently undulating so solid tee shots are rewarded, but the course’s strategic routing makes accurate approaches important for good scores.

At 1,400 meters elevation the ball will carry noticeably farther than at sea level, so plan club selection often one club less than usual.

Bentgrass greens tend to roll true and can be quick when dry, so be conservative with approach shots and focus on controlling spin and speed.

Wind can be changeable on the high plateau—check flags frequently and play more conservatively when hitting into gusty or cross winds.

Soft spikes are recommended and footing can vary with weather, so use stable footwear and allow extra distance on wet turf.

Being at about 1,400 m the course has cool, crisp air year-round with a large diurnal temperature range, changeable mountain winds that can pick up on exposed holes, mild summers but frequent afternoon showers or thunderstorms, and cold, snowy winters.
